Disability Support Services.

Rationalise existing print fleet, reduce cost and deliver a more efficient servicing model to support a growing foundation.

Provide a new holistic HP print solution across all Sylvanvale sites, automating process and ensuring a fantastic user experience with maximum uptime.

Reduced cost, eliminated wastage, full visibility of the fleet under a Managed Print Service.

Sylvanvale Foundation was formed in 1947 and today supports more than 750 children and adults with disabilities throughout the Sydney metropolitan area and the Blue Mountains to live and participate in the community, as they choose.

Sylvanvale were seeking a print technology partner that could consolidate, supply, take over and manage an existing mixed fleet of printers across 37 sites as well as the Kirrawee Head Office. The complexity of the current fleet was a direct result of de-centralised management and procurement of their printers. Sylvanvale staff were spending time and money shopping for consumables, service and hardware, while not being able to focus 100% on their core business, which is supporting people with disabilities. Their printing costs were increasing with no visibility and no process or governance. Seeking a ‘One-stop’ cost-effective, Managed Print Solution was integral to their future technology roadmap.

Print fleet audit - Sylvanvale engaged AMPS Technology to audit, discover and report all print devices across their business.  This would involve identifying hardware age & configurations costs, print volumes, security, utilisation and overall end-user experience. The outcome of the audit resulted mainly via data collated via our ampsConnect software portal.   Print fleet consolidation - A detailed report and cost analysis were provided to the executive committee as well as a recommended ‘Future State Solution’. The recommended turn-key solution included several key business outcomes that exceeded Sylvanvale’s expectations.   Some of these included:

  •  25% cost reduction per month
  •  26 different models down to only 3
  •  16 new HP PageWide printers
  •  Monthly Valet Service for HQ
  • 1 monthy bill for all machines
  • A common cost per page
  •  Re-deployment of several printers
  • On-site technical assessments of all existing printers under the new solution
